It looks that there is no open source tool to create EPC/EPK diagrams (see
german only link -
https://blog.stefan-macke.com/2007/05/21/open-source-werkzeug-zum-erstellen-von-erweiterten-ereignisgesteuerten-prozessketten-eepk/).
umbrello may get a business extension or plugin to support such EPC/EPK
diagrams.
A quick look at the structure of the example at [1] let me think that
umbrello's state diagrams may be the best choice for such support by choosing a
different icon set and some association/widget connection logic extension.
